From a Dream to a Home
Pillars of Hope Children’s Home was founded in 2013 by Mr. Vitalis Nyambeka in Noonkopir, Kitengela, with a simple but powerful vision: to rescue and care for vulnerable children who had nowhere else to turn.
What started as a small initiative quickly grew. By 2017, the home was supporting 81 children — both boys and girls — providing them with shelter, food, education, and love. However, growth brought challenges. Rising rent costs in Kitengela forced us to relocate to Daystar, Machakos County, near Moke Gardens. Yet again, land issues disrupted our stability, and we were compelled to move once more.
Through every storm, one thing remained constant: our unwavering commitment to the children. Today, Pillars of Hope Children’s Home stands in its current location in Machakos County, where we lease land and continue our mission. We currently provide a safe, nurturing home for 75 children, all of whom are actively studying and working toward bright futures. This is what makes our about us story compeling and we invite you to be part of it.
Our Mission
Rescuing and meeting the needs of vulnerable children.
We exist to be the hands and feet of hope for children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or left destitute by circumstances beyond their control. Every child who walks through our doors is met with love, dignity, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
Our Vision
We envision a Kenya where no child is left to face the world alone — where every vulnerable child has access to shelter, education, care, and the opportunity to become a purposeful, contributing member of society.
